Winter Edition : 6 DIY scrub recipes for the entire body!

I bet not everyone who’s reading this knows how important exfoliation is. It makes the blood circulate through veins and kills dead skin cells, also leaves you with a glowing skin. Everyone should scrub at least twice per week. Be careful if you have a sensitive face ,(acne prone skin) exfoliate only once.

Face skin is not the only important thing that needs scrubbing ASAP. Lips and body need it too & you can scrub them more frequently than the face. Especially now in winter, that the skin has a tendency to dry. So here are some easy DIY recipes to use for these winter days:

1.Face

  • In a small bowl mix and stir well with a wooden spoon:

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1  tablespoon honey

1  tablespoon olive oil

Put the scrub in a small jar and Voila, it’s ready to be used.

  • In a small bowl mix and stir well with a wooden spoon:

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1/2 lemon, orange or lime (or you can mix them together by also adding another half of the other ingredients)

1 tablespoon coconut oil

Use a face cleaner and then a moisturizing face cream after the scrubbing process!!!

2. Lips

  • In a small bowl mix and stir well with a wooden spoon:

1/2 tablespoon brown & white sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

  • In a spoon mix  1/2 tablespoon vaseline(or a flavored chapstick) with 1/2 tablespoon brown and white sugar.

3. Body

Body scrubs are my favorite kind of scrubs because as I mentioned earlier body skin is not that delicate compared to the skin of your face, so therefore you can use your DIY  scrub more often. You can exfoliate your body during shower time, and after it you’ll feel your skin is really soft and glowing. Shortly after you dry your skin with a towel, apply a moisturizer in your whole body (body cream) which you can find it in any drugstore.

  • The Fruit Scrub

This particular scrub is very fun to prepare and to try. You can do this recipe with any fruit.

1 kiwi (crush it in a mixer)

1 cup almond oil (if you don’t have almond oil,use olive or coconut oil)

1 cup white sugar

Mix the ingredients together and put the mixture in a jar.

  • The Coffee Mocha Scrub

1/2 cup coconut oil (or olive)

1/2 cup white sugar

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

1 tablespoon finely ground coffee

4-6 drops vanilla extract or orange essential oil

OR

1/2 cup coconut oil (or olive)

1/2 cup white sugar

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon coffee.

Let me know if you try these easy DIY recipes. Until next time, have a great weekend.
