Deciding to travel in Albania and to visit a saint place? Well, Albania offers a lot of these places, one of which is Sari Salltik located in Kruja.
Taking the left turn, leaving behind Kruja’s traditional market, you will start a journey to Skanderbeg’s mountain. Where Sari Salltik is located.
To reach the top you can walk or you can use the car, it’s your choice.
If you decide to go by foot you must choose a sunny day to enjoy the view this place offers.
When we arrived there we saw a bronze statue, the portret of the saint Sari Salltik. Under the statue there is a cave with depth 20 meters and height 3-4 meters. In the middle of the cave we found a water resource.
Also there we found a small Tekke where people light candels or take a small piece of rock from this place, considered as a lucky charm. There are 3 dervish mystical graves where people pray. In the mountain we could also find a dormitory where people can stay if the night caches them.
It also serves to Bektashi religious leaders, when the mountain has it’s day. Sari Salltik came in Kruja in 1300.
Legend says that when he saw around was filling with numerous clouds of blind anger, he said his body wanted to be divided into 7 kingdoms: Moscow, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Edirne, Bogdani, Dalmatia, etc. So much history in such a small place.
And there is more , but it would be better for you to come and see it by yourself.
