Rice water strengthens the hair & aids in hair growth (you can also use it on the skin for tighter, more radiant skin!) it also makes your hair soft and silky. only use this hair rinse 1-2 times a week.
– ½ a cup of rice (whatever you have on hand, white,brown,jasmine,long grain,short,grain,etc. will work)
– 2-3 cups of water (depending on how much hair you have)
-use ½ a cup of the rice of your choosing, and soak the rice in water for about 5 minutes to rinse off dirt or any other icky things. drain and discard the dirty water.
-cover the rice with 2-3 cups of water. let the rice soak for about 30 minutes.
-start kneading and squeezing the rice in the water, until the water gets cloudy. drain. discard the rice, and keep the water.
-leave the water at room temperature for 24-48 for the rice water to ferment. it will smell sour, but it’s not unbearable.
-dilute with a cup of water before using, because it will be very strong. use it before washing or right after shampooing. use it within 2 days.
