OLD is the new NEW!

OLD is the new NEW!

Graffiti in Albania recently has spreaded all over the country. Most of people find it weird and not suitable on the buildings and bridges. It is considered vandalism. But they are wrong!

Graffiti are writing or drawings that have been scribbled, scratched, or painted illicitly on a wall or other surface, often within public view.

It is a fine piece of art which beautifies each corner of the city. Especially in Tirana and Durres. Like in every country, graffiti may expess underlying social and politician messages and a whole genre of artistic expression is based upon spray paint graffiti styles.

But they can also be just beautiful paitings that expess an artists feelings.Graffiti gives life with its colors to old forgotten buildings or even on old trains and old train stations.

Since graffiti is more like an abstract art, people define a street art that is the opposite.  In Albania is no longer a ‘crime’ .  The mayor of Tirana has hired artists to do graffiti on different places and areas, like electric cabins. Artists have transformed those into very attractive points, giving colors and life to every corner of the city. They can be found in the city streets, city walls and city buildings.Graffiti is a form of art and not just a result of random acts of vandalism.

The graffiti community moves in different directions and the resultant artwork moves with it.  And everyone that like taking photos will make fantastic ones.

For sure it has become a trend!
