Hey everyone! As promised in the skincare routine, I’ve written up a list of my favourite all natural, homemade masks for glowing, clear, purified skin that costs next to nothing! Plus, you’re saving your skin all the nasty chemicals and the ingredients of the food will be directly absorbed.
Tip: Make sure to ALWAYS exfoliate before masking! Otherwise the nutrients won’t be able to penetrate beyond the layer of dead skin cells.
- TURMERIC MASK: for added brightness, glowing, blemish-free skin
This mask is one of my favourites, it clears up acne and can lighten darkness on the face (hyperpigmentation, spots etc.) The turmeric mask is perfect for all skin types- dry, oily, normal, combo! No matter what your skin issue is it’s sure to add a natural glow and clear look to your skin.
– 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
– 2 teaspoons of milk or yoghurt
– 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
- YOGURT & HONEY: for acne-prone skin, soothing and refreshing, & deep cleansing
This mask will deep clean any impurities and is perfect for stressed out or sensitive skin. The honey has antibacterial properties which also fight & ward off acne!
– 1 cup plain yogurt
– 1 tablespoon pure honey
- OATMEAL MASK: exfoliating, good for dry skin, replenishing and nourishing
An oat mask will multi-task (or multi mask if you will)- it sloughs off dead skin cells, and honey will nourish the skin and clear blemishes, and also provide antioxidants to the skin!
– ½ cup of oats
– 2 teaspoons of honey
– ¼ cup milk
So that’s it for my 3 favourite face masks! You don’t have to spend a ton of face masks to achieve the same, if not better results. Plus, making each mask will cost you literally less than 50 cents! I recommend alternating between masks 2-3 times a week, so your skin can attain all the benefits and goodness.
